Who is it for?

The SIW elearning is for all future volunteers and interns who want to get well prepared for their volunteer work or internship abroad. Are you going to teach in a school, help in a community project or child care centre or contribute at a wildlife protection project? Whatever you are going to do, this e-learning adds preparation to your volunteer journey! 

Why this elearning?

This elearning programme helps you to take that extra step to make your volunteer work or internship more successful. Elearning provides an easy way to learn everything you need to know before going abroad for volunteer work. 

What will I learn?

In this programme you will learn for instance about your motivations, how to deal with cultural differences, social media and how to add value to your experience when you are back from your volunteer work. Each course takes about 30 minutes and contains video and audio material, text lessons and quizzes.

How long does the whole e-learning take?

Each course consists of chapters and lessons. There are 4 courses, which each take about 30 minutes. That means the whole e-learning will take you about 2 hours. And I promise you it’s worth it!

Can I take breaks in between the lessons?

Sure you can! You can take breaks any time you want to. You just log in and you can continue where you’ve stopped. Your answers are automatically saved in your account. 

Can I get personal advice?

If you have any questions during the course you can easily find the question mark below each lesson. Fill in the form and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

How long will I get access?

When you’ve registered you can login to your personal account. This account will stay available for a year.

What does it cost?

For this elearning you have to register with a couponcode from your sending organisation. If you don’t have a couponcode, please send an email to elearning@siw.nl
